Local Information
The property is located in a quiet residential area on the edge of the small, wine-producing village of Ventenac.
Ventenac sits alongside the famous Canal du Midi, a World Heritage site that was constructed in the 1600's to link the Atlantic coast to the Mediterranean. It is beautifully tree-lined with a wide tow-path for walking or cycling. The canal has recently been the feature of TV chef, Rick Stein's culinary boat trip!
Ventenac (population 482) lies 20 minutes north of Narbonne deep among the Minervois vineyards. The village has a bakery, post office, large wine outlet and two waterside restaurants.
Further shops, restaurants and cafés in neighboring Ginestas and St Nazaire.
Narbonne has a huge choice of restaurants, shops, café bars and traditional markets and hypermarkets.
Just 30 minutes from Mediterranean beaches at Narbonne Plage.
Don't miss Carcassonne - superb fortified city featured in the 'Robin Hood' film with Kevin Costner.
