Local Information

The property is located in the small village of Tourreilles which is situated 5 min from Limoux, 30 min south of Carcassonne.
Wine-tasting in the village (and in amongst surrounding villages!)

Bread van comes every morning to the village, otherwise all amenities in Limoux.
Market in Limoux on Friday - local produce also available in the square on Tuesday and Sunday mornings.

Carcassonne 35min for Ryanair airport, fantastic fortified city and cultural events, restaurants and golf.

Mediterranean beaches 50 min (Peyriac de Mer) which stretch from Montpellier down to the Spanish border. Wonderful sandy beaches with tasteful entertainments and beachfront restaurants and cafés. The 'Etang de L'Ayrolle' offers some of the best windsurfing in Europe.

Wine tasting everywhere, numerous private caves and roadside vendors. Beautiful vineyards (Corbieres, Minervois and Fitou) and impressive valleys and rivers. Visit the town of Limoux for its famous sparkling wine.

Don't miss the Canal du Midi for walking and cycling. Lake swimming and rafting just north of Carcassonne. Enjoy the natural springs at Aix-les-Bains and treat yourself to an extravagant lunch across the Spanish border. Or venture to Barcelona (2hrs 30 mins) for a long weekend.
