The property is located in the tiny hamlet of Vesignole between Périgueux and Angouleme.

Restaurant and bread shop in Salles Lavalette, 3 km. All amenities including supermarket in Montmoreau, 6km. Further shops (more restaurants, bigger supermarket!) in Villebois.

Local features are Aubeterre on the Dronne where you can hire canoes and visit the eglise Monolythic.

Markets are at Riberac and Brantome. And lots to do in Angouleme. Cognac and Jarnac, about 40-50 km away with tours of the famous distilleries.

St Emilion is about 60 km but well worth a visit. Endless choice of excellent wine...

• Bookings run from Saturday 4pm to Saturday 10am and include electricity, water, linen and towels (not pool towels).
