Much of the travel industry is run by mature, well-run operators and most holidays are trouble-free. But in a business where clients pay months in advance, it leaves a long time for a weak travel company to go bust and the customer's money to vanish.

Large mass-market companies are insured or bonded to protect clients’ money. They present a low risk to their banks and can negotiate low card handling charges.

Whilst small operators and property owners can take direct bookings online, few can offer this level of security.

They are limited to taking payments by Paypal or paying up to 8% in credit card fees for Visa & Mastercard to protect cardholders’ money. These surcharges are included in the price of the holiday.

Pure France is government-licensed and fully bonded by France’s CGAIM. So we have preferential card handling rates from HSBC. We are their biggest card merchant in France.

We are a niche player, specialising in what we know best - holiday rentals in France. But we provide big company protection. With us, both clients’ and owners’ funds are completely protected and there are no credit card surcharges.
