The property is located in the small hillside hamlet of Roman, next to the village of Cornillon, approximately 30 mins west of Orange and just south of the beautiful gorges of the Ardeche.

Auberge restaurant in neighbouring St Gely (2 min drive or 25 min walk).

All amenities are in nearby Goudargues (5 min) including shops, restaurants and traditional market. 15 min walk to the lovely River Cèze for swimming, canoeing and fishing.

Large choice of supermarkets and further shops and restaurants in Bagnols-sur-Cèze (15 min). Also here is the little 'Musée de Peinture Albert André' with one of the most exquisite collections of 20th century art in the South of France, with canvases by Renoir, Picasso and Gauguin and other well-known painters.

• Bookings run from Saturday 4pm to Saturday 10am and include electricity, water, linen and towels .
• Please note electricity / heating is not included November to end April.
• Please note that no children under 16 are allowed to enter/use the gym.
• Twice weekly house-cleaning is included in the rental rate.
• Cook and baby-sitting available on request. Please ask well in advance for further details, costs, etc.
• No smoking in the property.

Just back from a terrific break. We must let you know how happy the family was with La Bastide. It is a really lovely house, made all the better because it is so obviously lived in and therefore has a really good feel to it. The facilities were superb – the swimming pool fantastic, the rooms as good as you could wish for (particularly our 55 sqm bedroom!), and the layout between the kitchen and shaded eating area just right. The fridges, fortunately, could cope quite happily with enormous quantities of food and the rather large amount of beer and wine that was consumed; and the washing machine was excellent. We were extremely lucky with the weather, and all things together contributed to a wonderful family get-together.
