Local Information

The property is located in a quiet village, 5 min from Uzès. Restaurant, 2 min walk from the property.

Uzès lies 20 min from Nimes and is one of the prettiest towns in the whole of the Languedoc. Many restaurants, café bars and supermarket.
Uzes, which is referred to as 'little Paris', is the first duchy of France and hosts one of the most colorful Saturday markets in the south of France.

The region is full of beautiful villages, and offers a host of treats for food and wine lovers. There are annual festivals of dance, music, pottery, truffles, gardening, and antiques. The Place aux Herbes in Uzès, where the weekly market takes place, is arcade-lined and you can sit outside for a tasty lunch or a drink on a sunny day. Just heavenly !

70 min to Le Grau du Roi - very chic Mediterranean beach resort. Further Med beaches at Saintes Maries de la Mer, 80 min.

15 min to the Pont du Gard; second only to the Eiffel Tower in most visited sites and is a must see.

Nimes - ancient Roman city with amazing amphitheatre. Lots of traditional, pavement café bars and restaurants and winding streets with interesting shops.

Arles - an even better amphitheatre! And the van Gogh connection. Lovely town, fantastic market on Wednesday and Saturday.

Avignon (25 min) is also close by and worth a visit to see the famous half bridge and Pope's Palace.
