Another chateau and more wine

Provence in February has an eery calm about it. And a distinct lack of German, Belgian, Dutch, Danish and English registered cars on the autoroute. But even at this time of year, the sun is shining and spring is just around the corner.

Prestigious chateaux are always a welcome addition to our listings and today’s visit to La Motte has been a wonderful experience. I arrive just as a group of important wine buyers leave their lunch tables. It’s a scene that could enhance any French lifestyle coffee-table book.

The property is a separate, but integral part of the large wine domaine outside of high season. It provides high quality bed and breakfast accommodation and caters for fine-dining and rustic-casual meals at lunch time and in the evening.
During the summer, the chateau is available to rent as a whole – a wonderful opportunity for families to come and experience a truly beautiful and authentic chateau…with its own wine cave at the end of the drive.
