Local Information

The Moulin de la Mer private residence is situated just outside the medieval village of Portiragnes.

Portiragnes is located 30 mins from Montpellier, 8 miles from Béziers and 3 miles from the Mediterranean coast.

The village has all amenities including supermarket, café bar, pizzeria, post office, newsagent and several superb wine outlets.

The Canal du Midi flows along side the village and is ideal for walking or cycling along the flat, shady banks.

5 minutes from the property lies the glorious, long sandy stretches of the Mediterranean coast. Portiragnes beach has won many awards and has many delightful cafés, bars and restaurants.

Béziers offers wonderful hypermarkets and cultural events. Great restaurants and astounding views from its hillside cathedral.
