Local Information

The house is on the edge of the small village of Herepian. Herepian is situated approximately 30 mins north of Béziers on the edge of the beautiful Languedoc National Park and on the banks of the river Orb. The village has bakery, butcher, fishmongers, chemist, several excellent restaurants and pizzeria. Café bar with exterior seats and tables.

On the fringes of the village is the golf course of Lamalou-Les-Bains.

The well known Spa town of Lamalou-Les-Bains lies a few kms west which together with Herepian offers a wide range of activities including fishing, horse riding, tennis, rock climbing, canoeing, hill walking and cycling to name just a few. Or if you wish to take things at a more gentle pace you could pamper yourself with a relaxing spa treatment.

For alternative night-life to Herepian, Lamalou offers a good selection of bars and restaurants together with the Casino or why not take in one of the occasional operettas.

There are endless opportunities for wine-tasting with the Languedoc region being the largest wine producing area in France. There are also plenty of local shopping opportunities and markets to explore at you leisure.

The Spanish border and the Pyrénées lie just 90 minutes from the house and Barcelona can be reached in 2 ½ hours for a fantastic day trip or long weekend.
