The villa is located in a 3,100m² Mediterranean garden on a hillside just outside the charming, medieval village of Autignac. Autignac is one of the principal wine-producing villages within the 'Faugères' appellation.

A five minute walk into the village; bakery, mini-market, pharmacy, café bar and post-office.

The villa offers spacious accommodation (all rooms with ceiling fans). UK satellite TV and table-tennis. Bedrooms feature Egyptian cotton linen.

Very private garden and 10 x 5m swimming pool which is heated in April, May & October.

The property is located on a hillside overlooking vineyards and surrounding countryside on the edge of the beautiful, medieval, wine-producing village of Autignac. Autignac (population 730) lies deep in the heart of the Languedoc vineyards; 12 miles north of Béziers and 30 min from Mediterranean beaches. Montpellier and Carcassonne airports less than 1 hour away.

The village has a bakery, café / bar / restaurant, pharmacy, general store and food shop, post office and numerous wine domains. Autignac is one of the seven villages that make up the famous 'Faugères' appellation and there are numerous opportunities to buy and taste the wine in the village.

Just outside the village lies the beautiful and imposing 'Château Grézan' - a superb Château hidden by vineyards and trees. It is owned by the Lanson Champagne family and here you'll find an outstanding restaurant and wine cave. Perfect for a special evening out.

Further amenities in the next village (Magalas 5 min drive). Large supermarket, 2 café / bars, three restaurants, pizzeria, bank with cashpoint, newsagent and local grocery store.

Mediterranean beaches lie just 30 minutes to the south. All water sports are catered for as well as having a large range of excellent cafés and seafood restaurants.

The town of Béziers (10 miles) offers something for everyone. A huge tree lined boulevard hosts endless cafés and outdoor restaurants as well as an enormous flower market on Fridays. There are many cultural events throughout the summer, including the spectacular 'Féria' when the whole town is taken over for four days by street markets, musicians and traditional concerts. This is not to be missed.

For the adventurous, there are two golf courses within 20 minutes of the villa and wonderful opportunities for canoeing and kayaking and river and lake swimming and hiking right on the doorstep.

The delightful, waterside village of Agde (30 minutes) will charm you with its beautiful old painted village houses, winding streets with fascinating shops, superb restaurants and traditional markets. Possibly the best place to buy fresh fish in the Languedoc. Early-risers can buy straight from the returning fishing boats in the morning.

For those interested in discovering more about the most famous aperitif in the south of France, there are guided tours around the Paul Ricard (pastis) caves in Bessan. Or on a similar theme, visit the caves and museum of Noilly Prat in the spectacular harbour side village of Marseillan (35 minutes). Further afield, the kids will love the huge water park 'Aqualand' in the chic resort of Cap d'Agde. There's more golf here or a choice of 9 different beaches. Great shopping too.

The Pont du Gard and all the beauties of Provence and the Camargue Regional Park are only a couple of hours away.

In the other direction, the Spanish border and Barcelona are within easy reach.

Superb access to the region via the following airports:
Montpellier (only 45 minutes away) Carcassonne (60 mins), Perpignan and Nîmes (80 minutes).
Toulouse 2 1/2 hours Rodez 2 1/2 hrs Gerona (Spain) 2 1/2 hrs.

• Prices are for the rental of the entire property above, per week.
• Bookings run from Saturday 4:00pm to Saturday 10:00am.
• No smoking in the property.
• Bookings include electricity, water, linen and towels (not beach towels).
• Pool open April 1st - end October. Extended periods on request.
• Pool heated 1st April to 31st May and 1st October to 31st of October.
