The property is located in the middle of secluded vineyards, 1.3 km outside the village of Murviel-les-Béziers. Murviel is 15 mins north of Béziers and 80 mins west of Carcassonne. Mediterranean beaches just 30 mins away.

High up on a hill with its imposing and impressive church, the village (population 2,400) is a series of narrow, winding, interconnecting streets and passage-ways.

All amenities in the village including bakery, butcher (and marvellous prepared-food store), newsagent, two café bars with pizzeria, chemist, food store, estate agent, fishmonger and bank with UK cash facility. Large supermarket 30 seconds outside the village.

The village has many fetes and festivals during the summer, the most famous of which is the 'Petetas' - during the months of July and August, the shopkeepers and tradesmen (and many local residents) adorn their shops and properties and pavements with life-size dolls of their trade or profession.

Wine tasting on every corner. Great river swimming and kayaking at Réals (3 km).

Don't miss; the spectacular perched village of Roquebrun, the vineyards and wine outlets in St Chinian, the walks along the Canal du Midi, the flower market in Béziers (Fridays) and the traditional restaurants in the surrounding villages.

Stunning scenery in the Gorges of the national park (5 mins). Walking, trekking and marvellous lake swimming.

Fantastic Mediterranean beaches just 30 mins. All water sports, child-friendly beaches with entertainments and waterside cafés and restaurants.

Montpellier 45 mins.
Carcassonne and Perpignan and Nimes 80 mins.
Toulouse 2 hrs.
Marseille and Gerona (Spain) 2 hrs 30 mins.

• Prices are for the rental of the entire property above, per week.
• Bookings run from Saturday 4:00pm to Saturday 10:00am.
• Neither Pure France nor the property owner are liable for any loss or interruption of internet service.
• No smoking in the property.
• Bookings include electricity, water, linen and towels (not beach towels).
• Please note; the property is surrounded by vineyards and the grape harvest begins in early September.
• During this month (September only), the grapes will be harvested and there may be farm machinery operating in the vineyards during the day. For some people, this may be a nuisance, for others it may be quite charming and an interesting insight into the production of local wine!

"The property itself is superb and, clearly, a lot of thought went into its design & construction – evidence of quality is everywhere. There was not one thing we wanted for during our stay – two of our number were excellent chefs and they managed to conjure up some memorable meals and did not bemoan the absence of any kitchen tool/appliance(although their first experience of halogen hobs caused one or two expletives!). Some of us were not very confident swimmers, but floating aids were supplied! The pool was sparkling clean without evidence of noxious chemicals.
The location fitted our needs very well – off the beaten track but not isolated. There was a good restaurant close by and a village only 15 minutes walk away.
All in all, a great week in a beautiful setting. Totally trouble free."

This was our third year renting through Pure France and without doubt, the best experience we have had to date.
We loved the location; the peace & the wildlife. It was a really special experience for the kids; we love them to be out of doors and we always limit TV viewing and ban play stations etc. We find however, that more & more rental properties in France feel compelled to provide all this "gear" when there are so many other things to stimulate their little minds.
The pool was fantastic. We had some wonderful meals; our best experience was probably in the recently opened Bontemps in Magalas although we also had some lovely meals in Pézenas and Servian."
