Dating back to the 17th century, the house was turned into a family dwelling in the 19th century and has recently been fully renovated.

The property is located on the edge of Cesseras village, 30 min east of Carcassonne.
The village has a grocery store with fresh bread, and a café bar.

Neighbouring village of Siran, (2 min drive) has a fantastic restaurant, grocery store and café bar.

The bustling town of Olonzac with all amenities (further restaurants, café bars and shops and supermarket etc) is just 5 minutes away.

The surrounding countryside is astoundingly beautiful. Roads lined with plane trees, shaded footpaths along the canal, vineyards as far as the eye can see.

Carcassonne 25 mins for Ryanair airport, fantastic fortified city and cultural events, restaurants and golf.
Lagrasse 25 mins is one of the most beautiful villages in France and offers spectacular scenery and a huge choice of restaurants for a memorable night out. Good shopping also.

Mediterranean beaches 45 mins which stretch from Montpellier down to the Spanish border.
Wonderful sandy beaches with tasteful entertainments and beachfront restaurants and cafés.
The 'Etang de L'Ayrolle' offers some of the best windsurfing in Europe.

Wine tasting everywhere, numerous private caves and roadside vendors. Beautiful vineyards (Corbieres, Minervois and Fitou) and impressive valleys and rivers. Visit the town of Limoux for its famous sparkling wine.

Don't miss the Canal du Midi for walking and cycling. Lake swimming and rafting just north of Carcassonne.
Enjoy the natural springs at Aix-les-Bains and treat yourself to an extravagant lunch across the Spanish border. Or venture to Barcelona (2hrs 30 mins) for a long weekend.
