The property lies in the heart of the small, traditional village of Causses et Véyran surrounded by vineyards.
Causses et Véyran lies between Béziers and Carcassonne.

The famous town of St Chinian is just 15 minutes away and has a fantastic Sunday market. Roquebrun is even closer and is known as the 'Little Nice of the Languedoc' - a truly spectacular village that seems to cling to its mountainside perch by magic.

More shops, cafes and restaurants in Murviel les Béziers, 10 mins.

Spectacular countryside all around, superb walks through the vineyards and to the nearby water spring. Wine-tasting will undoubtedly be a major part of your holiday here! This is the largest wine-producing region in the world.

Mediterranean beaches just 40 mins. Child-friendly beaches with all water sports and activities and entertainments. Huge choice of waterside cafés, bars and restaurants. Seafood is a speciality of the area.

Freshwater lake and river swimming in the nearby Orb valley. Canoeing and kayaking at Réals, 15 mins.

Further swimming and water sports at the charming and less populated Lake Salagou.

Stunning scenery in the Languedoc National Park, 10 mins. Don't miss the amazing Gorges d'Héric.

Theme parks for the children at Cap d'Agde, including Aqualand water park. Excellent nightlife - nightclubs, harbour side bars and restaurants, casino and golf.

Hypermarkets and cultural events in Béziers (25 mins).

The area is steeped in history with many abbeys, Châteaux and cathedrals to visit and to discover the story of the Cathars in the middle-ages.

For the more adventurous, don't miss the astounding fortified city at Carcassonne and the famous Pont du Gard at the doorway into Provence and the Camargue.

The Spanish border lies just 90 minutes from the house and Barcelona can be reached in 2 1/2 hours for a truly spectacular long weekend.

• Bookings run from Saturday 4:00pm to Saturday 10:00am.
• No smoking in the property.
• Bookings include electricity, water, linen and towels (not beach / pool towels).
• Elderly French neighbour has shared (pedestrian only) access to next - door garden - rarely used.
