The property is located in a residential area on the edge of Roujan.

The village of Roujan (population 1,520) lies in the heart of the Languedoc vineyards, 10 minutes north of Pézenas, between Béziers and Montpellier. Roujan is one of the famous 'circulade' villages, the ancient houses constructed in a spiral fashion outwards from the centre.

The village has all facilities; two bakeries, two café bars, two restaurants, pizzeria, newsagent, grocery stores, chemist, bank with UK cash machine facility, all within a 2 minute walk from the house. Superb lake swimming and picnic area at the Vailhan barrage (5min drive).

The shimmering Mediterranean and endless beaches lie just 18 miles from the house. Water sports, boat trips, beachfront restaurants and cafés. Sit and watch the world drift slowly by...

The Renaissance town of Pézenas lies 10 mins away. Pézenas has become a thriving centre for artisans who have many fascinating and delightful shops dotted among the winding streets in the heart of the old village. There are many, many restaurants and pavement café bars to choose from.

The outlying area is awash with vineyards, the Languedoc is one of the largest wine-producing regions in the world, so you can take advantage of the wonderful choice of visits and tasting opportunities that are right on the doorstep.

Half an hour away, you'll find yourself in another world among the stunning gorges and lakes of the Languedoc national park.

Superb walking, hiking and river rafting, or gentler water sports and swimming at Lake Salagou.
