The property is situated off a rural lane alongside the road that links Maureilhan and Béziers.
Maureilhan lies 20 minutes north of the Mediterranean coastline and beaches and 10 min from Beziers with all supermarkets and cultural activities.

Maureilhan village centre is a 3 min drive from the property and has two bakeries, café bar, bar restaurant, butcher, post office, take-away pizzas and newsagent.

Hypermarkets in Béziers (15 min).

The Languedoc is the première wine producing area of France. More wine is produced here than anywhere, with a great number awarded 'AOC' status. Many will let you drive in and taste without obligation - sometimes you will find a treasure and a bargain, sometimes one or the other - sometimes nothing but a great experience and an opportunity to meet the locals.

The river Orb presents many opportunities for canoeing and fishing. Or to drive out of the village north, you can follow its winding path through vineyards and into breathtaking scenery at the edge of the Parc Naturel du Haut Languedoc. In the park you will find spa towns, hiking and biking trails, rock climbing and, for the brave, paragliding.

If you want to stay away from the sun kissed white sandy beaches of the Mediterranean, you can swim, sail and fish in Lake Salagou.

Talking of the sun kissed white sandy beaches; there are many within 20 minutes of the villa. They range from quiet to bustling but all are well kept and serviced with all the amenities you would expect. Valras-Plage is the nearest.

Carcassonne and the many haunts of The Cathars are waiting to be explored. The walled city of Carcassonne has been used in many a film set and as you see it for the first time it is like approaching Camelot.

Aqualand at Cap d'Agde is a great water park with a wave pool as well as all the usual slides.
You will also find a golf course there and just before Béziers on the villa side of the city.
