A 10 minute walk in the other direction brings you into the heart of Sète with its charming harbour and endless water-front restaurants, cafés, bars and shops. Great for dining and shopping and summer cultural activities and entertainments for all ages.

The house itself is a beautiful example of French art-deco architecture with all its original features intact, including an imposing green ceramic-tiled tower which houses the ensuite bathroom in the master suite.

Sète is a chic, busy fishing town on the coast between Montpellier and Béziers.

Less than 5 min walk to sea-front amenities; bakery, supermarket, café bars, restaurants and bank with cash dispenser.

10 minute walk into Sète with its stunning restaurant-lined harbour. All shops and an immeasurable amount of excellent, traditional restaurants. Excellent market and great shopping.
Cultural events throughout the summer and activities for all ages.

Med beaches 10 min walk (2 min drive) from the house.

Wonderful Mediterranean coastline to discover with numerous beaches and summer attractions.

The UNESCO World Heritage Site of the 'Canal du Midi' runs through the town, along with many other waterways and canals. Particularly fascinating and fun is the boat jousting that dates back to 1666, which can be seen in all its flamboyance on August 25 (St Louis's Day).

Mont St-Clair in Sete has fantastic views ranging from the Pyrenees to the Alps on a clear day, which can also be seen from the villa.

Balaruc-les-bains, is a thermal spa town with sea-water therapies nearby (9km/ 15 minutes)

The Etang du Thau is just behind Sete and is home to the region's oyster beds and many small towns such as Bouzigues (17km/20 minutes) where you will find lots of seafood restaurants overlooking the water and Meze (20km/25 minutes).

Cap D'Agde is a magnet for sunlovers - particularly naturists - creating one of the largest naturist resorts in the world. The Cap also boasts 8 marinas, as well as a museum for underwater archaeology - and a water fun world called Aqualand catering for the young at heart (25km/30 minutes).

St-Guilhem-le-Desert has a huge and superb 11th-12th century Roman church and is one of the prettiest villages in France (60km/1 hour).
