Introduction

'Maison Clare' is a large, traditional-style home on the edge of the lovely, wine-producing village of Servian, 20 min from the Mediterranean coast between Carcassonne and Montpellier.

The property backs onto open countryside and vineyards, yet is just a 5 minute walk into the village with all amenities.

Lovely exterior space comprising 2,000m² Mediterranean garden with extensive lawn, palm trees and fruit trees - help yourself to pomegranates, figs, olives, cherries etc). Plenty of space for children to play or for adults to find a quiet, shady spot to read or relax. Badminton net and rackets provided.

Private pool 9 x 4m with steps and sun terrace with loungers.

Several terraces (shaded and open) for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks.

Spacious interior over 2 floors; all ground floor rooms open to the garden including living room with Wi-Fi, dining room, fully-equipped kitchen and laundry room and double bedroom with large bathroom.

Two further double rooms with 2 bathrooms on the second floor. Nursery available upon request and one of the bedrooms can be made up as two singles if preferred.

The village has a grocery store, butcher, 4 bakeries, newsagent, fishmonger, two restaurants, café bar, 11 wine producers, and supermarket. Traditional market on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Car boot sales ('vide genier') every Saturday morning.

The house is on the edge of the medieval, hilltop village of Servian (5 minute walk to village centre). Servian (population 3,700) is located in the Languedoc vineyards, midway between Béziers and Pézenas, 17 km from the Mediterranean coast and its beach resorts.

The village has a grocery store, butcher, 4 bakeries, newsagent, fishmonger, two restaurants, café bar, 11 wine producers, and supermarket. Traditional market on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Car boot sales ('vide genier') every Saturday morning.
