The Plum Bedroom is an ensuite bedroom featuring a four-poster double bed with plum velvet bed hangings. A truly romantic room.
The Tapestry Bedroom is decorated in greens, blues and browns. This bedroom has its queen-size bed dressed in teal cut velvet.
The Rose Bedroom has a southern exposure with a captivating view of the fortified entrance and topiary garden. The walls are upholstered in a delightful rose and green floral fabric with coordinating curtains and bed head.

Local Information
The property is located in Varennes-sur-Loire, 10 minutes from Saumur.
Saumur has a stunning chateau with wonderful views and you'll find all amenities in the town. Many shops and a huge choice of restaurants and café bars.
The Loire valley is famous for its many châteaux where kings and their courts built an impressive array of stately homes ranging from medieval times through every period and style to the second empire in the mid-19th century.
This area is also known for its wine: Chinon, Bourgeuil or the rich, sweet wine of Coteau du Layon or the sparklings of Saumur. Le Cadre Noir, the classical academic riding school is based in Saumur (8 miles away) and gives gala evenings from April to October.
The 'Futureoscope of Poitiers' is only a few hours drive away. So come and enjoy!

You'll want to visit the Saumur castle and the Riding School (Ecole nationale d'equitation), known worldwide for its annual shows during the month of July.
Within easy driving distance there are châteaux, each with their own style and charm – from the medieval period through the 19th century.
Chinon, its castle overlooking the Vienne and the old town make for a lovely day excursion.
The 12th-century Royal Abbey of Fontevraud is where Henry II, Eleanor of Acquitaine and their son, Richard the Lionhearted, are buried.
Saumur has a 9-hole golf course and Fontevraud's 18-hole course is in a beautiful location.
Horse riding, canoeing on the Loire, tennis, biking and more are all available close by. Bike and canoe rentals are easy to arrange.
Don't miss the Vegetable Market Sunday mornings in Montsoreau for a taste of an authentic French market. Relax on the terrasse of the local cafes bordering the Loire River while reading La Dame de Montsoreau – Alexander Dumas' celebrated heroine.
The elegant church built in the 12th and 13th centuries in nearby Candes-St-Martin is exquisite.
