The property is situated 5 min drive (15 min walk) from the picturesque small town of Bourgueil in a UNESCO-protected natural park. 6 km to the Loire river and 45 km to Tours.

The house, dating back to the 19th century has been renovated to a very high standard with high quality fixtures, fittings and furnishings throughout as well as leaving many original features; exposed stone walls and beamed ceilings.

The property is located in a natural, UNESCO-protected park close to the small town of Bourgueil, 45 km west of Tours.
All amenities in Bourgueil, 5 min drive or 15 min walk.

Local activities mountain biking, cycling, fishing, golf, horse riding, swimming, tennis, walking, water skiing, wind-surfing.

Set within the Loire nature park and a UNESCO world heritage site, the Loire valley is famed for its many châteaux, churches and abbeys.

Bourgueil abbey dates back to the 10th Century but the most famous, is without a doubt, Fontevraud where the Plantagenet kings, including Richard The Lion Heart, are buried. Within a radius of 20 miles, you will find a great array of Châteaux amongst which are Chinon, Azay-le-Rideau, Ussé, Langeais and Saumur to name but a few.

The Futuroscope in Poitiers is only 1 hour's drive away. Bourgueil, along with Chinon, produces one of the finest red wines of the Loire.

Bourgueil's market, under the age-old 'halles' is also one of those treasured moments that are a feast for the epicurian's palate.

• * Sterling & Dollar rates are provided ONLY as a guide - all rentals are payable in EUROS.
• Prices are for the rental of the entire property above, per week.
• Bookings run from Saturday 4:00pm to Saturday 10:00am.
• Security deposit of 300 Euros cash payable to the housekeeper upon arrival. Fully refundable (if no damages or breakages) on departure.
• No smoking in the property.
• Bookings include electricity, water, linen and towels (not beach / pool towels).
• Owner lives in small house adjacent to the main gate.
