Visiting the Languedoc became even easier when Béziers Cap d’Agde airport announced its summer timetable which includes services to Paris, Düsseldorf, Stockholm, Oslo, Bristol, London and Southampton.
It’s an ill wind which does no-one any good. After Pau in Aquitaine withdrew its subsidies to Ryanair, the Irish low cost operator transferred a number of routes to Béziers.
Ryanair will offer these destinations this season:-
Paris Beauvais (mondays, wednesdays, fridays and sundays)
Düsseldorf Weese (tuesdays and saturdays)
Stockholm Skavista (tuesdays and saturdays)
Oslo Rygge (mondays and fridays)
Bristol (mondays, wednesdays, fridays and sundays)
London Luton (tuesdays, thursdays and saturdays)
British airline Flybe will operate a twice-weekly service to Southampton on mondays and fridays.
Béziers Cap d’Agde is being increasingly promoted as a low cost destination with easy access to all Languedoc Roussillon. The Canal du Midi, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is a mere 10km away and the largest bridge in the world, the spectacular Viaduc de Millau just 45 minutes by autoroute.
Cap d’Agde itself is one of the most fashionable seaside resorts in Europe with beaches, great waterside cafés and restaurants, fashionable nightlife and endless entertainments, sports and amusements for all ages.
