Château Biron - On the Road in the Dordogne

Springtime in the Dordogne. There are worse places to spend a late April morning

Having travelled extensively in the region over the last 5 years, visiting and photographing Pure France properties, I thought I had traversed every highway and byeway in the area. But then yesterday morning, following the GPS in my car, I came around a blind corner and encountered the view that I had the pleasure of photographing. Sights like this are a reminder of why this area of France continues to attract visitors from around the globe.



For the record, this is 'Chateau Biron', (near Monpazier) dating back 800 years. The chateau is open for visits everyday in the summer and is well worth a visit.
