Local Information
Villa des Sapins is situated in Seillans, a pretty Provencal village approximately 40 minutes inland from the Mediterranean.
Seillans provides you with the basic amenities you will need when you stay at this villa, there is a local boulangerie and restaurants. Larger shopping facilities are situated in Fayence, a 5 minute drive away. Here you will find lots of delightful bars and restaurants all adding to the Provencal feel.
Your holiday in Provence would not be complete without a trip along the famous Cote D'Azur.
St Tropez is easily accessible by car, about 40 minutes away or by a 20 minute boat trip from Ste Maxime. Famous for its large markets and even larger yachts in the port, you will not be disappointed when you visit this idyllic Provencal town.
And yet there is more, drive along the coast road, enjoying the magnificent view across numerous bays and you will arrive at Cannes, Nice and Monaco. All attractive in their own right, but for many different reasons.
Cannes of course is famous for its annual Film Festival, Nice has the Promenade des Anglais to stroll along and Monaco is full of the glamour and tradition of Provence all rolled into one.
If the hustle and bustle of the coast gets too much then explore the quaint villages and breathtaking views available inland. Each of the little villages, many of which are perched on the side of a mountain, have their own unique charm.
The Gorges de Verdon, dubbed the Grand Canyon of Europe, has some of the best views you will find anywhere in the world. In fact, wherever you go in this charming part of France, you will not be disappointed.
There are a number of golf courses situated nearby as well as tennis courts and of course many watersports are available at the coast or at the nearby Lac St Cassien. If you prefer the après sport then take a visit to any number of vineyards all situated within 10 minutes of Seillans and taste some of the best wines the region has to offer.
Nice airport is about a 1 hour drive away.
