Bookings run from 4:00pm on your day of arrival day to 10:00am on your day of departure.
No smoking in the property.
Neither Pure France nor the property owner are liable for any loss or interruption of TV services.
Bookings include electricity, water, linen, towels and pool towels (not beach towels).
Please note that there are areas of the garden and property with unprotected drops. The stairs are uneven original stonework without a handrail. The property perhaps not recommended for the elderly and infirm or for toddlers and infants. Please contact us if you have any specific questions.

Tourist Tax
Where applicable, Pure France is required to collect and remit local government tourism taxes on behalf of our property owners. These taxes are calculated and collected from guests at the time of booking. Pure France then remits collected taxes to the applicable tax authority on the property owners' behalf.

Location

The town of Limoux dates back to the 14th century. It is located in the countryside on the banks of the Aude river, 25 km to the South of Carcassonne.

The property is located in the heart of Limoux, 2 minutes walk across the bridge to the picturesque square with all shops and cafés and restaurants.

Limoux is the hub of production of 'Blanquette', a sparkling wine made using the 'méthode champenoise'. A delightful substitute for Champagne at a fraction of the cost.

Carcassonne is within easy reach and absolutely not to be missed. The fortified city is host to a huge range of cafés, bars, restaurants and summer concerts and festivals including medieval jousting and spectacular 'sound and light' shows with fireworks.

Clercy we loved it, loved it, loved it. What's not to love about a villa brimming with art, antiques and ancient stone. From the moment we stepped through the unassuming front doorway into the grand passageway which leads to the 16th century courtyard, we were smitten. The main interior of the house was spacious, succulent and yet not stuffy. We felt right at home in this huge, elegant place. The back yard was the icing on the cake. We spent most early evenings before dinner out on the patio which overlooks the L'Aude river and across to the old town. How idyllic.
The villa was spotless. The management couple who were there to greet us and show us around were delightful, informative... and highly available throughout the week in case we had any questions. The added touches of fresh flowers and a bottle of Blanquette, the locally made bubbly, awaiting us in the fridge were unexpected and delightful.

We had the most glorious of holidays at Clercy! It was so exciting to feel that it was 'ours' for a brief time. We were astonished by its beauty and grandeur... everything was delightful; the concept, the hugeness, the light, the objets... Superlatives abound! I'll never forget the thrill of stepping in from the quite unprepossessing street to the rapturous glory of the courtyard! We adored the pool too and loved the way that it transcended 'poolness'. We loved the morning chorus of ducks, the early sun on the steeple across the river and the golden evening light on the magnificent sentinel Lions of Limoux... Renewed thanks and all good wishes
