The property is located in the picturesque village of Barbezières, almost midway in a triangle of Poitiers, Cognac and Angouleme.

Bread van stops outside the gates of the house 3 times a week.

Local bakery, 5 minutes in Verdille.

10 minutes to Aigre with grocery stores, bar and two restaurants, takeaway pizza.

Further restaurants within 20 minutes.

Large supermarkets in Rouillac (20 minutes) and Ruffec (30 minutes).

Catering and baby-sitter available.

The property is located in the picturesque village of Barbezières, almost midway in a triangle of Poitiers, Cognac and Angouleme.

60 minutes to the beaches of La Rochelle and Ile de Ré and other main attractions of Poitou Charente such as Cognac, Poitiers, Angouleme.

For the kids there is Futuroscope and in particular the monkeys of Vallee des Singes where a close encounter with our hairy cousins is guaranteed! Canoeing, kayaking, horse riding, local leisure lakes and water parks can be booked by phone and are all within 30 minutes drive. Bike rental can be arranged.

Head to Cognac for a tour of Hennessy (including a boat ride), Martel, Courvoisier which are all within 40 minutes or explore the local Cognac distilleries where Pineau de Charente, the local specialty is also blended.

There are several free leisure lakes within 10 minutes drive that open cafes during peak season. River side attractions such as Le Rejallant and, for young kids especially, Base de plein-air, André Mermet which is in Parc Francois 1, Cognac.
