Perhaps the most famous of the Dordogne tourist attractions are the cave paintings around Les Eyzies. There are more pre-historic caves in this area than you could ever visit in a day! Les Eyzies lies at the heart of an unspoilt area of great natural beauty with rolling hills, tranquil rivers and fascinating cliff and rock formations. It has some of the world's most beautiful caves with outstanding stalactite and stalagmite crystallisations. And the cave-lined Vézère valley has been classified as a heritage site by UNESCO.
The most well-known of all is the cave at Lascaux which was discovered in 1940. The paintings date back some 17,000 years.

N Boughton - UK
We have a wonderful time at Bonnefond, it was a stunning property! Thank you.
Sutton and Russell families
We have had a wonderful week at Bonnefond. The house exceeded all our expectations and there were endless facilities and fun for the children who wanted for nothing in the way of games and outdoor space. The grounds are breathtaking and we only ventured outside of them to do the shopping. We felt well looked after by the agent and house-keeping staff. Thank you to all involved in making this a perfect holiday destination especially for our children, aged 1-10.
Steinegger family - UK, CH, IRL
We had a wonderful 2 weeks at Bonnefond. What a wonderful place to stay. We made full use of the great facilities - pool, tennis and other games. In fact we enjoyed it so much that we rarely ventured out of Bonnefond, except got shopping, canoeing and caving. Thanks for a wonderful time, and we hope to return at some stage.
Kinniment family (UK)
You have to be congratulated on the very sensitive restoration of this lovely house and the gardens are well designed and in keeping with the architecture of the area and surrounding buildings. This is the most fantastic house we have ever rented. Thank you for a very memorable week.
Roche family - UK
We have just arrived back from 2 weeks at your property in the Dordogne and would like to pass on our thanks and appreciation for such a brilliant holiday. The house was superb, the best house we have ever rented in France. The owner has thought of everything- even down to torches in the bedrooms in case of power cuts, binoculars, games equipment etc, it really was the most well-equipped house I have ever rented! Marie-Francoise Boulay was a perfect hostess. Please pass on our gratitude and appreciation to all involved at the property and thank you to all at PureFrance.com for arranging such a lovely holiday.
