The detached property sits in a tiny hamlet with its private grounds opening out to endless fields.

Single-storey accommodation with central, open-plan living and dining area with fully-equipped kitchen, opening out to the dining terrace and pool area.

Four bedrooms includes family room with double and bunk beds. Three ensuite bedrooms plus large family bathroom.

Local town of Lacapelle Biron, 3 km has all amenities including grocery store, café bars and restaurants. Butcher, pharmacy, garage etc.

Monpazier 15 minutes, is one of the Dordogne's finest fortified villages, a Bastide village in the Dordogne with history going back to the 13th century.

It boasts one of the most beautifully maintained market squares in which there are cafés, restaurants, shops and lots of markets and events.

Monflanquin, 22 minutes is an old bastide town with winding streets and fabulous views. All amenities including large supermarket, cafés, restaurants, bakeries.

Tourist Tax
Where applicable, Pure France is required to collect and remit local government tourism taxes on behalf of our property owners. These taxes are calculated and collected from guests at the time of booking. Pure France then remits collected taxes to the applicable tax authority on the property owners' behalf.
For this property tourist taxes are due between 01 January and 31 December and will not exceed € 1.10 per adult per night.

The property is situated in the small hamlet of La Sauvetat de Blanquefort, in the golden quadrangle of medieval bastide towns (Villefranche du Périgord, Villeréal, Monpazier and Monflanquin) on the border of the Dordogne and Lot-et-Garonne departments.

Bread van can deliver to the door everyday.

Dear Frank and Julie, We knew it would be lovely and it exceeded our expectations! (Once we had worked out what was in each of the cupboards). Thank you all for the lovely evening and BBQ.

What a lovely two weeks! Arrived after a long drive from England with our 3 sons - 16-22 years old. The welcome from Frank and Julie with a glass of wine was much appreciated. The house they have built was perfect and the pool just fabulous. We knew we were in for a good two weeks when the pool man Frank turned up in a Bentley! Lots to do in the area with some great night markets in the towns. The tennis in the town was a scene of many hotly contested battles between the boys! I would highly recommend a treatment with Julie. I had reflexology and left with Happy Feet! No Happy Feet leaving this house though, another week would have been lovely. Maybe next year? Looking forward to reading the Mosley book!

What a perfect last minute holiday find we came across here! Beautiful house and pool - could not ask for more. The kids loved the pool, we loved the sun. Days out to thrash round the countryside on the quads to a gentle canoe down the Dordogne to Chateau stomping. We have been to South France many times and it never fails to disappoint. Hopefully it will be for 2 weeks next year with the rest of the family. Thank you for the hospitality Julie and Frank, you have a gorgeous set up.

The welcome was warm! The accent superb - or so Granny said The house is cool! The weather was hot! Everything was perfect - and thats your lot!!! Lang may yer Lum reek! (Long may your chimney smoke!)

We are delighted to have been the first guests to stay in the beautiful Le Chardon. A stunning house - and the perfect pool. We had planned to show our friends the region - but ended up relaxing by the pool instead! Looking forward to our next visit.

We have never been to a holiday house this beautiful and we've been to quite a few. Everything about the house was awesome: well equipped with almost too much attention to detail. The bedrooms were splendid, the bathrooms are exquisite, the pool is too nice and the Harris tweed is absolutely glorious! I've adored the kitchen with everything in it, which was plentiful. We've visited many houses for 8 persons with two pans, 8 knives, 8 spoons and the minimum of everything else : not at Le Chardon: I've never seen that many of the best knives of my life in one place, not to speak of the other great equipment. 10/10, will come again.
