‘There is always a slight nervousness as to whether the pictures give a true impression. In this case there were no disappointments - but plenty of bonuses! We loved the house! It’s an awesome location and we never tired of the views - particularly from the boules pitch and hammock! The stars at night were amazing. Excellent meet and greet, David was wonderful. He was always there when needed but discreet and non intrusive at other times. The house is very well equipped and the decor lovely - well suited to the Mas - comfortable and well thought out. Seriously comfy beds! There’s a lot to do around the house; play boules, table tennis, hang in the hammocks. We did all of these and our family boules tournament every evening with canapés set out in the wisteria arbour was a highlight. We stayed outside - mainly in the (poolside) loggia, which is a fantastic space to chill during the day, play card games, read and chat to people sunning themselves by the pool. Actually we played lots of games in the pool and it was perfect - same depth throughout with a step along the side made it easy to play ball games, Marco Polo etc. We went to Najac a couple of times - including the night market on Wednesday which was fun. Loved the salamander restaurant. Staff were such good fun. Also Cordes, St Antonin, and the Gaillac wine region to do some tasting. All really stunning. The ridge drive in the Gaillac region was beautiful. We thought it was a great area to drive , explore and shop. A great holiday! The house and gardens are a perfect getaway. I’d definitely recommend it to friends and we’d book for return holiday.

We had a wonderful holiday with our friends at Le Mas des Jardins. I wish we were still there! First impressions: The house and barn look enormous as you drive in, and you take in the sweeping lawns, the hammock pergola and the abundant lavender - can all this really be ours for two weeks? As we walked past the very inviting-looking pool, swallows and swifts wheeled and soared above as if to welcome us, and we thought: this is perfect. The next morning when we heard a golden oriole singing from the oak trees across the field, we thought it was even more perfect. We always look forward to hearing them in France.David (caretaker) was there to meet us, even though we were rather late. He showed us round the house and pointed out all the important things. He was friendly and attentive and we were pleased to know he would call at the house frequently - he was always discreet, and always checked with us what time would be suitable for him to clean the pool- he seems to know how to do everything! The best things about Le Mas des Jardins are the wonderful views, the sense of space, the abundant flowers and planting, the kitchen, the fabulous pool and the covered comfortable seating outside the kitchen, and the different seating areas that you find as you explore the gardens. We also visited Villefranche and Najac. We don’t like to go out much though, as we prefer to stay put and enjoy the house and pool. We absolutely love the tree - or shrub that has become a small tree - that provides such good shade over the table outside the side kitchen door. We loved every minute of our holiday - except the leaving bit - and we hope to return.

Just a quick note to say many thanks for letting us rent your lovely house at Salayrac. We had a wonderful time and were completely horizontal for most of the week, enjoying the great views and well kept garden grounds. All the extra touches and thoughtful recommendations were so appreciated and made for a fabulous holiday. David was also a great help in meeting us on arrival and being on hand with recommendations (and letting us feed his lovely horses). Best wishes.

RF
We spent a very enjoyable week at Mas des Jardins in September this year with our family. The house was marvellous and full of equipment, books etc Everything we could possibly need, even the fridge had a hatch to access the beers!!! It was all so comfortable and well appointed with lovely views across the valley. The surrounding area was delightful and the youngsters went kayaking while we walked along the river. We were well looked after by Alice and David during our stay. We visited the amazing market at St Antonin and also the superb 13th century medieval town of Cordes du Ciel. We would definitely like to return one day.

NS
We had a lovely stay a Mas des Jardins, spending practically the whole of our time there living outside in the lovely gardens with views over the surrounding fields. The house was very well equipped and the staff were great and seemed prepared to go the extra mile to help us. Overall, we would thoroughly recommend it.

SH
We had a fantastic week at Mas des Jardins. The property is beautiful – down to the smallest detail – the beds are so comfortable that we could never get up! It’s just so well equipped and had absolutely everything we needed. There is plenty of room for a large group - our party of 8 all had lots of space and were not on top of each other. The house and gardens are idyllic – we were welcomed by the lovely housekeeper with beautiful local products and wine, which was a great start to a fantastic week of sunshine and relaxation. The photos do not do it justice – it's stunning.

KW
Everything was simply fantastic and exceeded our expectations. It was clear to us that the house had the personal touch and the owners spent time there - it certainly not a rental only for use by weekly renters. We were very well looked after by the housekeeper. The highlights were undoubtedly the well equipped kitchen, the boules court and the marvellous garden. We would love to come back which is always a sign the house is wonderful.
