The house is situated on the edge of the small, pretty, Provençal town of Mormoiron on the edge of the Luberon National Park, 40 minutes from Avignon.

Easy, 5 minutes walk into the village with fabulous Sunday morning street market, bakery, small supermarket, café bars and restaurants.

Larger supermarkets in Bedoin and Saint-Pierre-de-Vassols, both 10 minutes drive.

Hypermarket and all shops in Carpentras, 20 minutes.

Local markets; Bedoin on Monday, Fontaine de Vaucluse on Tuesday (30 km), Malemort-du-Comtat on Thursday (8 km), Carpentras on Friday (16 km).

Excellent restaurants in Bedoin, Flassan (7 km), Blauvac (6 km), Venasque (12 km) and Carpentras.

Canoeing and kayaking in Fontaine-de-Vaucluse and L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (26 km).

We had the pleasure of staying in Provence for a week. I have lived in nine different countries on five different continents. I have never stayed in a more delightful place. A very well equipped, attractive, well furnished, modern comfortable holiday home on a rural slope overlooking the jumble of ancient buildings of the charming village and it’s glorious church tower with forested hills beyond. A stunning view.
On the left is the majestic peak of the highest mountain in Provence, up which one can drive, and the lower slopes of the Provenve. The village is five minutes walk away and well provided with little restaurants, village shop, pharmacy, bread shop, paper shop, cash machine and even a hair dresser.
The pool is very special with charming terraced surrounds and an extensive sloping garden with lawns, olive trees, flowering oleander and a variety of trimmed bushes. Apart from the occasional tolling from the church, the humming of the crickets and the tinkling from the pool waterfall there is no noise, no traffic, no people.
