Easy-to-make recipe

For around 50 shortbread cookies:

  • 250 g of flour

  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon (or gingerbread spice blend)

  • 125 g caster sugar

  • 1 sachet of vanilla sugar

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • 125 g of butter

  • 1 egg

In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, vanilla sugar and salt. Add the cold butter cut into small pieces and work together with your fingertips until a fine powder is obtained.

Add the egg and mix to obtain a smooth paste. Gather it into a ball, wrap it in cling film and set aside for 1 hour in the refrigerator.

Preheat your oven to 160°C.

Roll out the dough, then cut it out with different cookie cutters. Place the cookies on the baking sheet covered with parchment paper (or a silicone cloth).

Cook, 12 to 15 minutes, until the edges are golden.

Ready to taste!
