Born around 1610 Charles de Batz de Castelmore dit d'Artagnan is a French warrior. He inspired Alexandre Dumas for his eponymous character in The Three Musketeers.
D'Artagnan was born at Castelmore castle in the Gers.
Le château de Castelmore
The castle with Gascon architecture was built between the 10th and 12th century. It has more than 700m2 of living space surrounded by a 74 hectare park.
It is for sale for 2.5 million euros.
