Mas Barielle is ideally set right in the heart of Vincent van Gogh's Provence

Serenely nestled and uniquely situated between Saint-Rémy-de-Provence and Avignon, the walled city of the Popes, lays this unique and enchanting domain.

The history of this authentic Provençal Mas dates back to the late 18th century when it was a welcome resting place for travellers. Today the fully walled domain is nestled in the middle of fruit vineyards and has a 5,000 m² magnificent park with palm trees, 100+ year old olive and sycamore trees, oleander and lavender filled walkways.

Holidays in harmony with the seasons and the changing colours of nature

Mas Barielle stands out as one of the most beautiful properties in the area. Between the flowers and aromas, Mas Barielle is the perfect place to spend your holidays in harmony with the seasons and the changing colours of nature.

Mas Brielle’s volume is impressive with 380 m² of luxurious living space, to provide every comfort up to 8 adults. The 4 bedrooms are each individual decorated in harmony with the colours that define this region. All four have private bathrooms and are equipped with superior class double beds. All bedrooms have air conditioning and share magnificent views of the garden.

Sumptuous Provençal fashion

The house comprises a fully equipped open plan kitchen, a large hallway, dining room, library and large living, all with direct access to the south faced terrace. The living areas, the dining room and the kitchen are all decorated in sumptuous Provençal fashion, and all have traditional Provençal fireplaces. The Grand-suite and mezzanine on the first floor of the west side of the building can be closed off together with one of the living areas for extra privacy.

A 'plage' for you children to enjoy

Detached from the Mas you will find the pool area with sunbathing facilities. The pool terrace faces south and is partially roofed to provide some welcome shade. The large 8m x 12m heated pool also has a 'plage' for you children to enjoy. The nearby village of Noves is strategically placed in the north of the Alpilles, the border between the departments of Bouches du Rhône and Vaucluse, in between Saint-Rémy-de-Provence and Avignon. As you explore the village, you will discover some attractive ruins that date from the time when the bishops of Avignon and the popes were the lords of Noves.

Typical Provençal festivals

The ramparts, of which the bell-tower, two gates and two beautiful square towers still remain, date from the 12th and 14th centuries. Noves is a lively village. Every year typical Provençal festivals are organised with concours de manade (contests with bulls from several herds), courses de taureax (bull races), abrivado (bulls released into the streets) and folklore processions, as well as aïolis (open-air meals) and sardine festivals, where a great atmosphere is guaranteed.

Mas Barielle is blessed to be centrally located amongst the most famous sites and scenes of the Provence; all of these treasures are within a radius of just 40 kilometers.
