The Canalettes caves
Discovered in 1951, the Canalettes caves near the medieval village of Corneilla-de-Conflent in the Pyrénées-Orientales, opened to the public in 1954.
Visitors today can explore the Grandes Canalettes cave along with its galleries.
Experience 2D and 3D video projection shows combined with sound and light that will take you back in time to the 'Big Bang'.
As the cave has 'no seasons', throughout the year the cave is a constant 14° celsius.
Food and drink and a bar, a picnic area, a souvenir shop and free car parking are available on site.
