Yogi Zain in France on the boat Lydia du Barcarès
Yogi Zain in France on the boat Lydia du Barcarès the weekend of June 17-18, 2023.
Straight from Los Angeles, practitioner and teacher Yogi Zain accepted the invitation from Yogi Room and the Barcarès yoga association for a 2-day course aboard the famous liner Le Lydia.
You will practice facing the sea on the covered deck, sheltered from direct sunlight. A rare experience.

Le Lydia
The oldest ocean liner in the world.
Extract from the website of the town hall of Barcarès:
Built in 1930 in Copenhagen, this black liner called "Moonta" will experience an extraordinary destiny. A cruise ship in the Spencer Gulf in Australia until 1955, she was bought by a Greek company from Piraeus.
Repainted in white, renamed "LYDIA", it will therefore ensure the regular line between Marseille and Beirut until 1966...
It was at the end of this same year that the extraordinary destiny of the Lydia was sealed. Bought by the Société d'Économie mixte des Pyrénées-Orientales, the liner was emptied of its engines and pulled in ballast to the dug artificial port especially for the occasion.
A delicate operation which will be carried out on Sunday June 11, 1967 and will make Lydia the first building of the new Port-Barcarès station.
Today, the Municipality of Barcarès has become the owner of this exceptional building, a living and unique symbol of the ocean liners of the 1930s and of the most ambitious achievements of the Racine mission.
