Beautiful French farmhouse kitchen

Modern Mediterranean and Zen in South-West France

Boutique-style high-spec farmhouse renovation in South-West France.

The owner of Le Mas des Jardins shares the concept behind her beautiful farmhouse renovation, an eco-friendly, boutique style, 350 year old holiday rental country home in South-West France to sleep 10.

At its heart, this eco-friendly, boutique style, Le Mas des Jardins a 350 year old farmhouse restoration has a magnificent 4-oven Aga gourmet cook's kitchen with its central dining table and huge windows and doors blurring the lines between inside and out where uninterrupted breathtaking views embrace the private 3-hectare, sensory loaded, 20 year old, permaculture garden.

Cook, dine, play

The high tech, conservatory style throughout is designed with the flow of country life, the function of the interiors is to expand into the garden; to cook, dine, play. Views from each room offer a focal point, where the eye can rest.

Modern, Mediterranean and zen

Beautifully presented throughout with the luxury of space, the signature interior design is modern, Mediterranean and zen; a stylish combination of salvaged - all the 350 year old beams and stone are original - and a contemporary ensuite flow to the outside summer kitchen, lounge, dining and pool.

Splashes of pistachio and blue

Colours are sun drenched and inspired by the tones of the stone found on the property; cream, yellow, white, olive, lavender, grey with notes of terracotta and splashes of pistachio and blue. This Mediterranean palette is applied both to the interiors and the garden's planting scheme, further helping to blur the lines between inside and out.
