A great vantage point from which to admire the Dordogne countryside

You can visit some wondeful French châteaux in the Dordogne and we recommend the Château de Beynac for its views and architecture. You can even rent a château in the Dordogne, which is great for a large group or family holiday in France.

8. Château de Beynac

Château de Beynac's commanding position, 200m above the Dordogne river makes it a formidable sight. It is a great vantage point from which to admire the Dordogne countryside. Château de Beynac has many well preserved features such as the dungeons, medieval living quarters and wall frescos dating back to the 15th century. Open every day from 10am to 6.30pm from April to October.

We also offer rustic farmhouses, converted barns and modern villas in the Dordogne, with private pools;
