Arles Roman Amphitheatre

Founded in 90 AD the Arles Amphitheatre, an UNESCO World Heritage Site is a famous ancient Roman structure.

Hugely popular with tourist visiting the city of Arles, the two-tiered structure with its more recently added towers dating from the medieval era is a 'must see attraction' in Provence.

During July and August, be sure to not miss the theatrical shows and sporting events that take place and watch as gladiators take up their swords in fights in the amphitheatre's arena.
