Menton on the French Riveria with its Mediterranean micro-climate is famous for its citrus industry and its annual Fête du Citron.

Its medieval streets are steep and cobbled with its houses in shades of ochre, gold and pink.

Menton has a number of famous gardens including "Jardin Serre de la Madone" created between 1924 and 1939 with a unique design and a selection of plants from subtropical regions and the 11,000 m² "Jardin botanique exotique" with 400 year old olive trees and exotic plants.

The Menton "Fête du Citron" takes place each February and hosts Citron parades, craft fairs and the Festival of Orchids.
