If I remain one day in the history of art, it is because the written message becomes more and more important. It replaces the flowers, the naked women and the landscape on a painting

His store was born in 1958 in the city center of Nice. He first sells a few objects, second-hand records, books, etc... Then the store becomes an alternative gallery where the object becomes art. It is a landmark of artists who meet to exchange or debate.

The store sees its walls transform over the writings of Ben.

In 1972, the store was dismantled to become part of the collections of the National Museum of Modern Art. The sides are then arranged by the artist.
