1 La Place du Capitol

This is the symbol and the mythical place of Toulouse. It was the former "royal square" and now houses the town hall and the theatre. Around the square the buildings that encircle the Capitol have pretty paintings on the ceiling. Take a look!

2 Les Jacobins

Former convent accessible from Place du Capitole by taking Rue Gambetta, a 5-minute walk away. Comprising a church and a cloister.

3 The quays of the Garonne

The quays are very pleasant for walks or simply to rest in the grass. A place very popular with Toulouse residents, they sometimes meet for a drink on summer evenings. The Daurade district has always been lively, since in the 18th century it was the city's trading port and the Garonne was the link between the Mediterranean and the ocean. From Place de la Daurade you can admire the Pont Neuf, which is actually the oldest bridge in Toulouse.

4 Place Saint-Sernin

This is the largest of the Romanesque basilicas preserved in Europe. You will discover the octagonal bell tower, and you may observe fish engraved in the ground !

5 Trinity Square

One of the prettiest squares in Toulouse, with a fountain in the center and the facades surrounding it are covered with architecture. It is a fairly quiet place compared to other sites in Toulouse which are much more lively. The Japanese garden of Compans Caffarelli, the Toulouse canals, the slaughterhouse museum... you can adapt your visit according to your desires, and discover other unmissable places.
