1) Capitol Square

It is the symbol and the mythical place of Toulouse. It was the former "royal square" and now houses the town hall and the theatre. Around the square the buildings that encircle the Capitol have pretty paintings on the ceiling. Take a look!

2) The Jacobins

Former convent accessible from Place du Capitole by taking Rue Gambetta, a 5-minute walk away. Composed of a church and a cloister.

3) The quays of the Garonne

The quays are very pleasant for walks or simply to rest in the grass. A place very popular with Toulouse residents, they sometimes meet for a drink on summer evenings. The Daurade district has always been lively, since in the 18th century it was the city's trading port and the Garonne was the link between the Mediterranean and the ocean. From Place de la Daurade you can admire the Pont Neuf, which is the oldest bridge in Toulouse.
