Le Cube Part 2

Pure France's visitors to Le Cube often choose the property because of its unique design in such an extraordinary location. Once inside, though, their attention shifts to the owner’s collection of contemporary art.

The downstairs bedrooms feature original paintings by James Hull – an artist who, though heavily influenced by the St Ives school in the UK also worked in France toward the end of his life. In the main living space and kitchen there is steel sculpture and also paintings by local artists Dottie Bart and Peter Evans, a photo-realist painter based in nearby Verteillac.

Outside, close to the heated swimming pool with its infinity view, is a sculpture carved in local limestone by the late Edmund Ashby (who also painted the mural of a unicorn within the courtyard of the local bar!)
