Nice Street Art

Street Art has been slow to find its place in the big cities of France. But, today it is recognized as an art in its own right, especially in Nice. Supported by the cultural assistant of Nice, passionate about Street Art, urban and contemporary arts. Indeed, the latter knew how to mobilize the talents of many graffiti artists, in particular the association specializing in urban culture "Whole Street" with more than 15 artists.

The pioneer and founder of Street Art

Ernest Pignon-Ernest le niçois is the precursor of urban art in France. Today he has been an inescapable and popular legend for fifty years. And works with force and poetry of real-scale bodies and posters in the streets of the world.

None of his works are on the walls of Nice. However, you can find an exhibition dedicated to him at the Museum of Modern Art and Contemporary Art in Nice.

The wall of free expression

The art of expressing yourself!

Resulting from an agreement of the Mayor of Nice, this wall of free expression allows all graffiti artists to express themselves as they wish.

This space is open to all, the works can be modified, covered and replaced. When you have the pleasure of going to these places, you will surely see something new since it never stays the same.

When art mixes with sport

In 2020, during the Tour de France, the city of Nice wanted to highlight under the tunnel of the Allianz Riviera Stadium the Nice football club, OGC Nice.

With one side dedicated to OGC Nice and the other for the Tour de France. This work was produced by 6 artists: Otom, Ernesto Novo, Chika, César, Kotek and Dzio.

The association "The Whole Street"

The association "The Whole Street" was created in 2015 by two people from Nice. It aims to transmit the culture of Graffiti and offers services such as initiation into Graffiti, murals and live painting.
