Promenade des Anglais on the Côte d'Azur

The Promenade des Anglais in Nice is 7 kms in length and stretches from the airport on the west to the United States Quay. It's a popular location for cyclists, roller-skaters and families to enjoy the beach front and numerous palm trees, kiosks, pergolas and Mediterranean azure blue Sea views of the Baie des Anges.

A number of tourist sites run alongside the route including Phoenix Park and Hotel Negresco.

Visitors can enjoy snacks and drinks in the many restaurants, bars and ice cream stalls easily accessible from the Promenade des Anglais.

The annual Carnival of Nice along with its multi-coloured parades and traditional flower parades takes place along the promenade.

In 2015 the city of Nice submitted Promenade des Anglais as a candidate for the UNESCO World Heritage status. If accepted it would become the first UNESCO site in the Alpes-Maritimes.
