Pure France, Tour de France. Day 3, Bordeaux
It's an enchanting drive on the small back roads that meander between woodland and open countryside from Périgueux to Monflanquin.
Monflanquin is rightly named as 'one of the prettiest villages in France. A hilltop bastide town with fabulous views and a medieval square with a fantastic choice of café bars and restaurants.
Monflanquin is one of the most popular destinations for Pure France holiday renters, we have several houses in the area to choose from.
Today, we are here to visit a new one for our portfolio. A contemporary house in the traditional style with open views over the fields. Four bedrooms and a private pool 15 x 6m.
The house will be available to rent on our site very shortly.
From Monflanquin, it's on to Bordeaux which needs to be visited as often as possible, it's so wonderful. The stunning architecture is the first point of reference as you arrive in the city. And then get lost in the culture...and the myriad back streets of artisan shops, high fashion boutiques, wine outlets and a unique ambience in the evening among the restuarant terraces serving some of the best food in France.
It was here, in 1991 that Patrick Bruel arrived to record the video for his famous song, 'Place des Grands Hommes'
