Saint-Émilion

Classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, Saint-Émilion is one of the most famous and prettiest wine-growing towns in the world.

TVery good restaurants and wineries. The town is blessed with impressive medieval architecture, including a monolithic church carved entirely out of rock. The ascent of the bell tower is worth it: it offers a magnificent panorama of the surrounding vineyards stretching as far as the eye can see. Naturally, the focus is on the wine trade. Visits to castles and wine tastings can be organized at the local tourist office. Visit the many vineyards open for tasting; many stores in Saint-Émilion ship wine to your doorstep.
