Events and Festivals

Find the Sarlat Film Festival, an annual event that celebrates French cinema, attracting filmmakers and enthusiasts from all over the country.

The Truffle Festival, organised in January, this festival celebrates the precious black truffle with markets, tastings and culinary demonstrations.

You can also enjoy the outdoor activities available to you, such as kayaking, canoeing and boat trips. The surrounding countryside is ideal for hiking and cycling.

Discovering the mediaeval architecture of Sarlat-la-Canéda

Sarlat has a set of well-preserved mediaeval buildings, narrow and winding streets and historic squares. The architecture of the city extends over several centuries, with many structures dating from the 14th century.

Cathedral of Saint-Sacerdos, an impressive church has Gothic and Romanesque elements and is a key monument in the city.
