The lakes and gorges of Languedoc / Occitanie

Summer is finally here and the days are hot ! Need somewhere to refresh yourself and have a good time in the heart of the nature of Languedoc /Occitanie ? With its many gorges and lakes, Languedoc / Occitanie offers you a large choice of quality natural bathing places.

The Gorges

The Gorges du Tarn, Gorges de l'Aveyron, prepare your towel and swimsuit to fully enjoy the fabulous views.

The Lakes

In Hérault with Lake Salagou, or in the Ariège at Lake Montbel with more than 600 hectares.

One hour from Toulouse you will find the lake of Saint-Ferreol, near the Bastide de Revel at the foot of the Black Mountains. Here, there are some small beaches, or explore deeper into the countryside.

Above Castres in the Tarn, the Montagnès lake. 25 hectares with supervised swimming, fine sandy beach, water games, fishing area, fitness trail around the lake and tree climbing park.

Waterfalls

Discover the Cascades du Sautadet near Roque-sur-Cèze. They are sometimes heavily frequented by tourists in high season but still remain a wild and spectacular place. Take care to bathe only in the secure areas !
