France has many splendid lakes, pleasant places to enjoy a nice walk or swim in summer. Often located in very pretty destinations, the lakes of France seduce both by their beauty of the panoramas and by the nature which surrounds them.

Lake Annecy in Haute-Savoie in the Alps

In the Alps, an extraordinary setting, it is greatly renowned for its beauty. It delights all travelers with its breathtaking nature.

Serre-Ponçon lake in the Hautes-Alpes

This time, the Serre-Ponçon lake is artificial, and stretches for kilometres. In the middle of the lake you will find La Chapelle Saint-Michel, a unique place which is the last vestige of a submerged village.

In the Vosges, Gérardmer lake

This one is of glacial origin, it is a must in the Vosges. Water sports enthusiasts can have fun in a very peaceful place. You can also walk for a few kilometers.

A very quiet place with beautiful emerald colors. A refreshing break on the wild banks.

Leman lake

With its superfine of 580km, Lake Geneva is the largest lake in France. It is both the largest lake in the Alps and the largest natural lake in Western Europe. This immensity acts as a border with its neighboring countries, which makes it a unique place.

The Lake of Sainte-Croix in the Var

An artificial water point more than 10km long. It offers a spectacular view of the cliffs. A unique setting in Europe with the nearby lavender fields and the arid Provençal scrubland.

Lake Oô in Haute-Garonne

It is located at 1500 meters, for hiking enthusiasts, it is a very enriching and unforgettable site.
