Vallon des Auffes, a must-see near Marseille

The Vallon des Auffes is a small traditional picturesque fishing port on the Corniche Kennedy, in the Endoume district, in the 7ᵉ arrondissement of Marseille. It is located 2 km south-west of the Old Port, between Catalans beach and Malmousque cove. If you like to walk, you will take pleasure in discovering Marseille on foot, moreover you will discover places not to be missed in the surroundings. Like the Vallon des Auffes. A place offering a very colorful image of the Phocaean city with its small fishing huts and its small boats.

How to get to Vallon des Auffes?

The Vallon des Auffes is located two kilometers from the Old Port, about twenty minutes on foot. You can also get there by bus, leaving from the Old Port number 83. You will see the status of the heroes of the army of the Orient, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you will have a view of the Château d'If and the Frioul Islands.

This small port is home to small fishermen's houses and restaurants and small traditional fishing boats.

No beach but a very friendly atmosphere where you can have a drink on the terrace or eat for all budgets, a bouillabaisse in the city or in a starred restaurant l'Epuisette with a magnificent view, or a tasting of sea urchins, or gourmet cuisine "Chez Fonfon".
