Family friendly Gruissan beach

Are you staying in the Aude or the Pyrénées Orientales? A swim in the sea, walking with your feet in the water or basking in the sun is a must. One of the widest and wildest beaches due to its environment, with no buildings nearby, is Gruissan beach. It is not one but 5 beaches that are determined. Just 10 minutes east of Narbonne and easily accessible from the motorway, the beaches of Gruissan have a family atmosphere.

  • Vieille Nouvelle beach or "salins beach":

Wild beach, nature to contemplate. Attention unsupervised beach.

  • Grazel Beach

The ultimate family page. The beach is supervised and the children have feet for meters in the water.

  • Chalet Beach

Then along the stretch you will find the famous chalets on stilts. You are on the mythical beach of 37°2 le matin, one of the most famous films of French cinema directed by Jean-Jacques Beneix released in 1986 based on an eponymous novel by Philippe Djian published a year earlier. This film, a passionate love story with Béatrice Dalle and Jean-Hugues Anglade is forever inscribed on this beach in Gruissan.

At the time, of course, there were a few fewer chalets. But if you look closely you will find the one from the film in one of the aisles.

  • Ayguades Beach

The spot for kit surfers, paddle or jet ski enthusiasts.

  • Mateille Beach

An area is reserved for naturists. The beach is made up of dunes. A wild landscape.
