Family friendly Gruissan beach

Visit this large and uncrowded Languedoc, Occitiane beach. Just 10 minutes, East of Narbonne and easily reached from the motorway, Gruissan plage is a lovely family friendly beach.

The huge wide flat expanse of Gruissan beach means you will never struggle to find a spot on the sand, and the calm waters make for safe swimming for all ages.

On one stretch of the beach you will find a collection of old fashioned chalet style holiday homes, famously featured in the film, Betty Blue.

You can dine in one of the many reasonably priced restaurants and cafés in the port or the old village of Gruissan, but we recommend splashing out and dining right on the beach at the stylish 'Cabines Beach Club'. Be sure to reserve in peak season.
