Gémenos, village in Provence at the foot of Sainte Baume

Gemenos, village in Provence at the foot of the Sainte Baume massif. Gemenos is a charming village that exudes the south of France. It is located inland, about twenty kilometers east of Marseille. The cicadas welcome you during the summer period. One of the fountains on the square of Albertas Castle, the current Town Hall, represents Gemini, the town's emblem.

Several places including the Cour des Granges are pleasant for a drink or lunch.

Refined craft shops are also nice to discover, notably the Biscott workshop, artisan ceramist.

I am a ceramist in Gémenos near Aubagne, in Provence.

I make everyday objects in stoneware or porcelain, on the wheel or on the plate.

I also like making unique beads, and putting together different necklaces that resemble me.

I grow plants, and shape their pots. The world of gardens inspires me a lot.

My decoration is based on the impression, and the enamels are there to reveal and enhance the reliefs.

I also do sewing which helps avoid disposable items, to move towards zero waste.

The Pure France team fell for coffee cups which quickly became our favorite cups because the finesse of their contact in the mouth and the raw side of the material are pleasant to appreciate all the flavor of the coffee. Discover their online store:https://www.biscott.fr/boutique/

Provencal Market:

Every Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., you can do your shopping under the Halle des Arcades.

A must-do is a hike in the heart of the Sainte Baume Massif, a preserved site. Access from Gémenos which is located at the foot. The view is breathtaking.

On the way, you can also stop at the Saint-Pons park, very green and pleasant to walk there. Rare in this region, the place is rich in water and its source feeds several streams.

You will be able to come across a few deer and perhaps see the mythical Bonelli's eagle.
